Walkerville Breweyr was founded in the 19th century by Hiram Walker, who was a legendary local distiller. The Walkerville Brewing Company’s mission is actually quite simple: a brewery that is closer to its customers is able to deliver fresher beers. And freshness matters. It means cleaner, richer tasting beer, cold-aged and delivered precisely when the flavour is at its fullest.

There have been no compromises. We've acquired outstanding equipment (a premium four-vessel brewhouse system), installed it in one of Hiram Walker's original warehouses, and hired one of North America's most celebrated brewmasters.

The result: Walkerville Lager- a superior amber beer, carefully hand-crafted in small batches by our masterbrewer, Chris Maxfield. A truly classic Canadian lager naturally-brewed without additives or preservatives, because real beer has only four ingredients:

• kiln-roasted malt
• choice imported hops
• fresh-cultured yeast
• pure water
